Rue Your Tattoo? Come on in, and We'll Clear Up Your Skin!

Rue Your Tattoo? Come on in, and We’ll Clear Up Your Skin!

PhotoAs May winds down, many people are looking forward to the days of summer, labeled in a famous old song, as “lazy, hazy, and crazy.” Although crazy undoubtedly refers to the madcap behavior associated with the season, some things that were considered outlandish when that song became popular are now commonplace. Tattoos are in that category; but, as they’re often souvenirs of wild vacations (that’s the hazy part), or ill-advised flings, they’re still regretted by millions.

Luckily, though, another thing that’s changed is that tattoos are no longer hopelessly permanent. Indeed, with our advanced, r20 Tattoo Removal technique, we can erase those inked-on mistakes faster than ever. So, don’t be lazy!  If you, too, have a tattoo that you rue, come on in, and we’ll clear up your skin!

This Little Piggy: Preventing Toe Nail Fungus

Toe Nail Fungus

The development of toe nail fungus comes from the microscopic organisms called dermatophytes. It comes from the transfer of a fungal skin infection to your nail. It causes your nails to become thick, discolored, and brittle. There are simple ways to prevent this from happening.

How to Prevent Toe Nail Fungus

  • Clip Toenails Correctly- Use properly sanitized nail clippers and cut them straight across.
  • Wear the Right Shoes- Your shoes should not be touching your toenails and allow your foot to breathe. Be sure to use an antifungal power in them to prevent fungi from forming in your shoes.
  • Avoid Going Barefoot- Places like locker rooms, public pools and showers are loaded with fungi. Always wear flip flops or shower shoes when using these areas.

Introducing Dysport & Xeomin

Now Offering Alternatives to Botox!

Dysport and Xeomin are leading global injectablesthat offer subtle differences and just as effective as Botox.

Dysport
Dysport greatly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while restoring up to 20 years of age lines. Your facial expressions are what make you, you! And they will not be negatively affected. Our Dysport treatments are a safe and effective alternative to the popular Botox (botulinum toxin) product, and clinical studies show that it lasts up to 2 weeks longer than Botox for a total of 4 months.

Dysport is FDA approved for the reduction of wrinkles. It has been and remains the #1 wrinkle reduction provider in Canada and Europe for over 20 years.

Xeomin
Xeomin is a great alternative for patients who participate in organic living as it does not contain any additives, which also lowers the chance of negative side effects. Xeomin is an FDA approved treatment used to eliminate the appearance of facial folds and deep wrinkles.

Xeomin is safe for all skin types and has been used throughout the United States for many years. Xeomin differs from other injectables as it has a larger diffusion rate, so it may spread to surrounding tissue. Xeomin lasts approximately three and a half months.

Which one is right for me?

We suggest visiting us for a consultation to evaluate your personal goals, medical history and current health/skin condition. From there, we will help you make an educated, realistic treatment plan with one of our 3 injectables. Each product is very effective and safe, but offers subtle differences.

After your consultation, our expert injectors will provide high quality service and follow up to ensure you love your results. We offer a variety of injectables because we want you to have the best results possible. Having the option of using different injectables limits the possibility of the product becoming immune to your body.

Body Beautiful: Put that "Safe Tanning" Notion to Bed

Put that “Safe Tanning” Notion to Bed

Many people get sunburned even when they’re trying to be careful, often because there's so much conflicting - and confusing - information around. This includes the idea that tanning beds are safer than the sun, when they actually emit equally harmful UV rays. Worse yet, believing this myth, many stay longer in the beds than they would outdoors, thus increasing their chances of getting skin damage, developing cancer, and aging prematurely.
So, limit your sun exposure, and always apply broad spectrum or multi-spectrum lotion with an SPF of at least 30. And if your skin already has sun damage, we have several, ultra-effective treatments that can reverse or improve it. And remember, the best thing you can do for your skin is to put that “safe tanning” notion to bed!
